It really confuses me by seeing farcaster team keeps clanking while saying $CLANKER is not farcaster’s token. It’s farcaster team announcing the update It’s farcaster team executing the buyback tx It’s farcaster team doing marketing, operating and bd of clanker. I think people still don’t realize that clanker is now a perpetual clanking machine. Yesterday was only day 1 of the perpetual buy back machine and they bought 66k worth. Not to mention the amount of $CLANKER theyre going to hold and not sell. On a normal week, clanker gets ~500k of fees and 2/3 of that is 333k. 333k weekly buy back on a 70m mcap token will set a floor that only gets higher each time. Imagine if a clanker token gets listed on coinbase or another big exchange, imagine the volume it’ll bring. And a rising tide lifts all boats. Remember that clanker set a good precedent by burning all the other clanker token it got from fees. clank clank

I’ve already shared my profound congratulations to the clanker team, so now I feel ok making it just a little bit about me (and @betrmint) We were excited to see that as part of this acquisition, @dwr @v and @dish have decided to burn all the accumulated LP fees denominated in the tokens of previously launched clankers. In our case, that amounts to over 1.6 Billion tokens that were just permanently removed from the supply, worth over $15,000 at today’s price. As a founder building in the farcaster and clanker ecosystems, I appreciate that the teams chose the simplest and most compliant way to deal with these tokens without harming those of us who have been clanking since day one.
