Hey everyone, Iโm SIJ , I am new here and already loving the community! Been playing around with Farcade (itโs seriously addictive!) and the meme channel always cracks me up. When I was 20 I had a herniated disc in L4/L5 Had subsequent microdiscectomy & laminectomy surgery (received some bad advice at the time & I was too young to know better) Have dealt with on/off chronic pain & SIJ complications ever since Iโll get a flare up about 1-2x/year that can put me out of commission anywhere from 1 week to 2 months Hit a flare about a week ago So hereโs what I do: - most importantly: stop doing anything thatโs aggravating/sensitized - book sessions for PT & acupuncture - rehab 2x/day - limit all grains, most carbs - continue exercising in whatever capacity I have - 4 days of prescription strength ibuprofen - bromelain, collagen - BPC157 + TB500 for 5 week cycle The thing with chronic pain is you never get back to 100%, you just get a hell of a lot better at dealing with it This one might take another week or two to settle, hopefully not any more Moral is: yep, even me, someone whoโs entire expertise revolves around this stuff, still has to deal with it
