Bridged Fediverse and nostr posts being counted as independent PDS usage on bluesky
"Many of us came to Nostr searching for something the world tried to bury: sovereign minds connecting without permission, building without intermediaries, speaking without the leash of algorithmic approval. We found it. Now the question is what we build with it. I don’t post theory. I post what I’ve tested, learned from, rebuilt after it broke. Every word here reflects real experience because authenticity is the foundation of everything worth building. The protocol gave us infrastructure. What we create with it reveals who we actually are. Bitcoin matters. But what matters more is whether we’ve internalized what it teaches. Proof of work isn’t just code. It’s a life philosophy. The creative minds here understand this instinctively. They build, they create, they resist the gravity of mediocrity that pulls everyone toward comfortable lies and manufactured consensus. You can’t forge real connection through performance metrics. You can’t manufacture trust through engagement farming. The centralized platforms trained us to optimize for attention instead of meaning, to perform instead of connect. Here, we have the chance to be different. The bonds that matter form between people willing to stake something real, to challenge each other, to grow together without the safety net of algorithmic validation. That’s what makes this space valuable. I share what provokes thought because comfortable minds build nothing. Sometimes that’s serious. Sometimes it’s absurd. The shitposters and memers here matter because laughter is resistance too. Life doesn’t demand constant gravity. But even humor here feels different because it’s ours, unfiltered, human. If my words make you question assumptions, make you feel less alone in rejecting manufactured consensus, or just make you laugh at the absurdity of it all, then we’re using this tool correctly. The world outside drowns in shallow signals, algorithmic manipulation, ideas polished smooth by focus groups and corporate cowardice. We have the opportunity to prove something better exists. Not because it’s easy, but because it’s necessary. Decentralization without conviction is just distributed compliance. The words we speak here should echo in how we live. That alignment is what separates signal from noise. Some of us are building in the open. Testing ideas in reality. The invitation stands for anyone ready to do the same. Not through comfort, but through genuine challenge and mutual growth. The future belongs to those willing to prove their words with action. The choice is yours. But you’re exactly where you need to be to make it count." https://primal.net/e/nevent1qqs2l7r7m5tjy300zaalx774lczzakcsnmc7a66mz4t8tweyyn6radqxy86np

Why we all should have at least one Nostr account so we can learn how to use the service in order to teach others. If you wait till you NEED it; it's probably too late. https://medium.com/@jmchasteen/the-nostr-protocol-social-media-3-0-2c23e290bcb3

Is this the base version of nostr?
In Web1, only organizations, news agencies, and government institutions could create content, like the websites we used to see in Internet Explorer. In Web2, we leveled up a bit, and everyone became able to create content on their own pages, but all those pages belonged to centralized companies. It was like you were renting pages that you didn’t really control. You’d create those pages for free, and those companies would also use your data for free, but all the control over the page stayed with them, like Facebook, Twitter(X) , and so on. In Web3, we took it one step further. You no longer need to rent pages from centralized companies. Instead, you truly own your pages and your data without any middlemen, like Nostr, Farcaster, and so on. This is amazing!
I'm a sovereign individual and my right to inscribe cats and wizards with my transactions is just as valid as the 8 cents you spent on tipping a meme using lightning on nostr.
I envision a future in which XMRchat is used for much more than just tipping streamers and podcasts. Nostr or Farcaster or Twitter tipping? Something like Patreon except with Monero? Subscriptions to paid newsletters? All powered by Monero transactions on XMRchat. Someone without an ID or bank account like myself shouldn't be excluded from the creator economy. Monero micropayments powered by XMRchat and God willing maybe a Monero browser wallet can be the solution. Sure, a creator could self host a BTC pay server on their own domain and get paid for their content that way, but that is a high barrier to entry versus the 5 minutes it takes to spin up an XMRchat account. Private microtransactions are going to be a big part of Monero's future.
I did this coloring page for a Harvest Moon video on my YT channel. I don't like all my videos being parked only at YT. I'm looking at nostr, but I don't know what app to use in that environment yet. I still have to research it. I'm so out of the loop on Farcaster. Do you know of both video and livestream apps for FC? Any reviews you can point me to?
