Freedom is a difficult concept to grasp, yet it is a feeling everyone loves to experience. When transformed into poetry, it seems to come a bit closer. Together on my @alfafrens channel, we wrote this poem using a surrealist cadavre exquis exercise. Each participant received only the last word of the previous sentence as inspiration, without knowing what had been written before. In the end, I assembled everything, discovered what the poem was about, and gave it a title. It is also an exercise in freedom. Hope you enjoy it! One, unique among the multitudes. The many, automatic abundance of nothing we are walking. Through the mist, footsteps echo softly on the cobblestone path. The journey unfolds through the stars. Don't you ever wonder what they look like from the other side? The side path is less taken. The road less taken also had cigarette butts. Forget all the bad memories and ensure those doors stay shut. When one door closes, another opens, or a window at least. An echo that creates waves, the size of mountains. Immense beauty overtakes me as I return to my natural state.
