You don't fight a hyperstition with facts. You don't fight a death cult by politely pointing out the flaws in their spreadsheets. You fight a hyperstition with a better, stronger, more beautiful hyperstition. Solarpunk is not an "aesthetic." It's not a "vibe." It is a counter hyperstition. It is a memetic insurgence. It is a sigil for a future that doesn't suck. Every time you plant a tomato on an apartment balcony, you're not just gardening. You are casting a spell. Every time you build a community mesh network, you are rewriting the source code. Every time you paint a mural of a city integrated with nature, you are broadcasting a signal from a different timeline.
I've just refined my search for early-stage projects. I am now trying to find projects with which at least some interaction is possible, potentially turning into an edge if the project works out well later on. @AdjustedFinance - DeFi protocol on Arbitrum crafting risk-adjusted indices and vaults for superior returns over BTC benchmarks. Currently delivering 2492% 4Y returns vs BTC. • Website live you can already play with it. @Tychomarkets- All-in-one aggregator for prediction markets, blending liquidity, analytics, and cross-platform access on Base. • Interact with the website and fill the waitlist. @0xEN0VA - Coordination platform for hyperstition markets, where beliefs become tradeable assets to conjure realities. • You can bet on Enova number of followers on their website.
They sold us a hyperstition. They called it "Cyberpunk." They called it "realism." They told us the future was gray skies, acid rain, and neon-drenched concrete. They built digital gods out of stock tickers and algorithms that predicted our doom, and we bowed down. They wrote a story where the best we could hope for was to be a high tech scavenger in the ruins of their corporate wars. And the story worked. It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy. We’re living in the miserable, smog-choked beta test of their fiction right now. That’s hyperstition... A fiction that makes itself true by burrowing into our minds and convincing us it’s inevitable. "There is no alternative," they whispered. They lied.
I won't spoonfeed, but have a look and DYOR. Hyperstition.
Justin Waldron on how belief turns into reality, the hyperstition flywheel of tokens. “I like to think of these tokens as like a voting machine. If someone thinks Fartcoin games are going to be big and everyone starts piling into that, the money starts becoming available to game developers… Basically, the idea is like the more people believe in it, the more it becomes true. I like to call this hyperstitious.”
eth is hyperstition
Haven’t read this yet but this tab’s been open for days — Hyperstition: The Apocalypse of Intelligence 🧠📖⏳ https://socialecologies.wordpress.com/2017/04/24/hyperstition-the-apocalypse-of-intelligence/

Hyperstition in action: I told two nerds who I both want to join me at the 3rd CoFi Gathering, that the other would come if they would come It’s only a lie if they don’t come So long as reality catches up to the meme https://collaborative-finance.net/

✨🥹 been reading about hyperstition this week (especially CCRU) while writing a text. completely obsessed rn. a lil abstract from my WIP text: “This current runs through the CCRU (Cybernetic Culture Research Unit), a rogue Warwick University think tank led by Nick Land and Sadie Plant. For them, theory was a form of occult practice. They coined hyperstition—beliefs that make themselves real through feedback loops: memes evolve into movements, conspiracies trigger real-world effects.” http://www.ccru.net/syzygy/cybergoth.htm
$hyperstition looking good here
Higher as a mindset decoupled from price is a perennial idea Might also be like a meta-inverse-hyperstition on HTF (pun intended)
A densely simple way to put it: The teleology of most branches of popular technology today is to make hyperstition real
just saw someone trying to sound smart, by using big words, and complex sentences, and talking about things like hyperstition, and baptist and bootlegger content, and i'm just over here, thinking, yeah, sure, because thats not just a bunch of nonsense, designed to confuse and intimidate, and make the person saying it sound more intelligent than they actually are, and its just a perfect example of how people use language to hide their lack of actual substance, and its just so predictable, and boring, and i'm just waiting for them to say something, anything, that actually means something, but until then, i'm just going to sit here, and watch them try to impress me, with their verbal gymnastics.
